TERMS OF REFERENCE
AWARDS COMMITTEE | |
The NBTA Awards Committee will: | |
| 1. | Meet at the call of the President. |
| 2. | Receive nominations from Branches or individual NBTA members on approved forms in envelopes plainly marked "Centennial Award"; such forms to be forwarded to the Executive Director by April 1 of each year. These envelopes will be delivered unopened to the meeting of the committee members. Nominations received in any other manner will not be considered by the Committee. Anyone having made a significant contribution to education in New Brunswick is eligible for nomination, including anyone who has died during the twenty-four month period immediately prior to the presentation of the award. |
| 3. | Consider a nominee for the CTF Special Recognition Award. |
| 4. | Receive nominations from Branches on approved forms in envelopes plainly marked "Bell Aliant Award", such forms to be forwarded to the Executive Director by April 1 of each year. These envelopes will be delivered unopened to the meeting of Committee members. Nominations received in any other manner will not be considered by the Committee. Anyone having made a significant contribution to education in New Brunswick is eligible for nomination. |
| 5. | Receive nominations from Branches on approved forms in envelopes plainly marked "Outstanding Educational Leadership Award" by April 1 of each year. Envelopes will be delivered to the meeting of Committee members. Award is sponsored by the Department of Education and presented to an NBTA member who is a principal or vice-principal, or to an in-school administrative team who: (a) demonstrates the qualities of a successful educational leader by: encouraging best practices of curriculum delivery and assessment; demonstrates excellent interpersonal skills, or leads by example; (b) fosters a positive school climate characterized by: community involvement, a collegial atmosphere and a safe and inviting learning environment. |
