Role of the NBTA in Teacher Certification

The NBTA plays NO ROLE in the day to day business of teacher certification. However, because this is an area that is important to teachers, the NBTA offers information through this site. The NBTA also holds a permanent seat on the Minister's Advisory Committee on Teacher Certification where matters related to regulations, appeals and aspects of teacher certification are discussed.

After you have read the information on this site, you may have individual questions which may be able to be answered by the NBTA Director of Professional Learning, Ardith Shirley. (ardith.shirley@nbta.ca)
