Benefits of Increasing Your Certification Level

After your initial certification and your entrance into the profession, there are many benefits to working on additional certification qualifications. Engaging in formal learning will expose you to content for new courses, offer research on new pedagogy and teaching strategies, energize you for your continued classroom efforts and, not the least, will result in an increase in your salary.

Each time you move up a step on the certification grid, your annual salary increase is approximately $3500 (based on current contract and your years of experience). This increase has a huge cumulative effect as well as having an impact ultimately on your retirement pension.

For many reasons, upgrading your certificate is worth the effort!
