Learning and Working Environments

Curriculum and Instruction: Through the NBTA Enhancing Learning and Working K-12 Committee, the Association provides feedback to the Department of Education and Early Childhood Development (EECD) and Anglophone School Districts regarding: curriculum design and implementation; provincial report cards; resource selection and development; professional learning models for curriculum implementation; instructional best practices; and policies pertaining to curriculum and instruction.

Educational Support Services: Through the NBTA Enhancing Learning and Working Education Support Services (ESS) Committee, the Association provides feedback to EECD and Anglophone School Districts regarding: policy pertaining to inclusion and positive learning environments, the Integrated Service Delivery model, ESS Connects, equitable classroom composition, assistive technology and professional learning for school-based ESS team members as well as classroom teachers. In addition, the committee strives to develop and maintain a network of external stakeholders who have a shared purpose to promote inclusive education best practice and student wellbeing.

Assessment: Through the NBTA Enhancing Learning and Working K-12 Committee, the Association provides feedback and advice to EECD and Anglophone School Districts regarding provincial assessment policies, practices and programs. The committee also monitors, communicates and advises on issues related to national and international assessments, testing and evaluation trends, and research implications.
